Today, we said goodbye to a truck that has served our community well. Equipment transfer and mounting has begun and training on the new unit will begin next week.

Tonight, members of the Round Lake Fire Department conducted water supply and hose line training behind the Malta Mall.

This afternoon, the Round Lake Fire Department was dispatched to a grass and brush fire on Knapp Road. Crews extinguished the fire in 20 minutes.

We moved our attack hose lines to the rear of the trucks to allow us to double their length from 200 feet to 400 feet. We also doubled the amount of ground ladders that are carried by adding 1 additional 35 foot ladder and 2 additional 28 foot ladders.

Don’t forget tomorrow’s blood drive at Village Hall.

This afternoon the Round Lake Fire Department responded to assist the Jonesville Fire Department with a propane tank fire.
