This morning a crew from RLFD participated in a ladder placement drill with the Clifton Park Fire Department at the Bentley with the new EL 542. This training allows the departments to access the reach and rescue capabilities from various positions.

The new EL 542 is very compact and can set up in places where other ladders cannot including between vehicles in parking lots. It can also be set up/taken down in less than 30 seconds allowing it to be quickly re-positioned for additional rescues.

The new apparatus will be placed into service Thursday night.
